Mission Statement:
The mission of the La Salle Elementary Schools is to provide a nurturing, challenging learning environment in order to assist each student in becoming lifelong learners and socially responsible citizens.
District:
La Salle Elementary Schools has approximately 1,000 preschool through eighth-grade students. The district operates two schools: Northwest Elementary and Lincoln Jr. High School. Northwest Elementary School houses approximately 700 Pre-K - 5th students and is located at 1735 Malcolm Avenue. Lincoln Jr. High is located at 1165 St. Vincents Avenue and holds approximately 300 6th-8th graders. The schools operate from 8:00am-3:00pm. Trimesters of 12 weeks make up the school year.
Faculty:
The faculty includes 68 certified teachers, 15 paraprofessionals, 3 social workers, 3 speech pathologists, 1 school psychologist, and 1 school nurse. Of the 70 teachers, 39 hold master’s degrees.

Curriculum:
La Salle Elementary Schools offer a balanced assortment of academic courses designed to motivate our students to develop the abilities to think critically, solve problems and communicate effectively. The core classes in the district include reading, writing, science, social studies, math, health, and physical education. Additional courses include art, library/computers, choir/music, and various enrichment classes. Students are provided field trips throughout the year to extend learning opportunities.
In addition to the academic curriculum, students are taught a social and emotional curriculum through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). A description of the expectations is listed below.

GPA-Honor Roll
Students are eligible for Honor Roll at Northwest Elementary and Lincoln Jr. High School. The student must maintain a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale. Students at Lincoln Jr. High who accumulate a GPA of 3.51 or higher can receive high honor roll.
